The "Background Verified" badge is only placed on a member's profile after they have purchased and passed a background check through our website. This helps to boost the profile's legitimacy to interested users; however, it does not verify wealth or income.
Our background verification is completed by a 3rd party processing service called Optimum Screening -- more information here -- any questions or concerns regarding the process itself can be best addressed by their Customer Service team online or at: 1-800-391-8013.
To purchase a background check, you can either click on the link above or access it through your profile by following the steps below.
1. Locate your profile photo thumbnail at the top right-hand corner of your browser and click on "Background Check." You'll be redirected to the correlating Optimum Screening webpage.
2. Once redirected, simply follow the on-screen prompts to continue the process!

• If your profile is incomplete, the option to initiate a background check will not be available. Please be sure that all required fields are filled out and approved before attempting to begin the background screening process.
• This option is only available to members living in the United States at this time, due to the screening service's current zone limitations.
• The "Background Verified" badge will be displayed on your profile for 180 days (this is confirmed during checkout, as well).
